What a fantastic find! Hoobrook Cottage was wonderful. In an idyllic setting of a glorious village within a brief stroll of a great pub. It is cosy and welcoming. The beds were huge and incredibly comfortable. The welcome pack was the best I've ever had. And the hot tub perfect for tired muscles after a days walking ..
Sophie
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was beautiful, clean and homely. The added bonus of a welcome hamper was much appreciated and was a lovely touch thank you! The owners have really thought of everything to make it such a great stay.
An amazing property, I have never been to a holiday let where so much is provided, we didn't want for anything. There was also a fabulous welcome hamper and milk and butter in the fridge. The fire was laid ready, all we had to do was put a match to it, and extra logs were in the basket. The hot tub is very private. The place was not home from home, it was better than home. The property owner is lovely and very efficient believe two people ownrun it but only dealt with Kate We will be back without shadow of a doubt.
Could not fault this cottage in any way. It was the cleanest and best presented we have stayed in by far. It is wonderfully comfortable and in an idyllic location. The hosts have provided everything you could wish for. No corners have been cut and everything within the cottage is of the highest quality even down to the lovely welcome hamper. The large tub is definitely hot and maintains its temperature very well. Sitting by the stream watching the wildlife whilst in the hot tub was wonderful. The cottage too was toasty warm. Water pressure and tv reception is often a problem in out of the way places, but not here. The shower was superb, tv taken care of with a digibox and excellent WiFi meant that although there was zero mobile reception, WiFi calling was a breeze. Communication from the hosts was exceptional and we actually met one of the lovely ladies when she came to maintain the tub. Dont dither, book it or youll miss out!
A truly delightful and relaxing escape. Our recent stay at this charming cottage was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We were immediately impressed by the very generous welcome pack that greeted us upon arrival a thoughtful touch that made us feel instantly at home. It was filled with highquality treats and essentials, setting the tone for a truly pampered stay. The property itself is incredibly well equipped and thoughtfully set out. Every detail has been considered, from the modern and functional kitchen with everything you could possibly need, to the comfortable and inviting living spaces. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the high standard of the furnishings and amenities provided, including the wonderful hot tub which was a real treat. The cleanliness of the entire property was also exceptional, making for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Furthermore, the quiet location of the cottage provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, we enjoyed tranquil surroundings. The local pub was fantastic, with both staff and locals very welcoming, food is very good so booking ahead recommended as it's a popular location. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at this cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and tetreat which is ideal for unwinding and escaping the stresses of everyday life. We hope to return again soon!
Wow what an amazing place! The cottage is beautiful and clean with everything you could possibly need. The welcome hamper was amazing and a lovely surprise! There are loads of walks from the cottage and the hot tub is fab to relax in after a days waking. This place is a really good find and is so deserving of its five star status. Without doubt one of the best places we have ever stayed in. We will be back for sure!

Absolutely perfect stay
Amazing stay, beautiful cottage. Family of 5 and a little Yorkie really enjoyed our stay here between Christmas and new year. Lovely hamper to welcome us, dog beds and bowls, wood for the fire and a lovely hot tub as well as a few games in the cupboards to play in the evenings. Local pub, Black Lion Inn was dog friendly and food was fantastic. About a 5 min walk from the cottage although lighting is sparse on the walk back, it may be worth taking a torch as theres no path that we saw Overall a stunning place and lovely break, thanks
Andrew

We stay in cottages all year off and on with one of us retired and the other a professional working from home. This cottage was perfect. The hot tub was one of the best we have had and the communication from the owners pre and post stay has been spot on. Location so tranquil and local pub super friendly. Would 100 recommend.
Patricia
A lovely traditional cottage tucked away down a lane. Everything you need is available. We had a problem with trying to get channels on the TV and in the end had to call Ruth. She was extremely helpful and was prepared to drive 10 miles to come and sort it for us. Luckily, with her help over the phone, we got it sorted! We thought that this part of the Peak Dustrict was the best out of all the areas we have visited in the past. The village is beautiful and so peaceful.
This is a lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful place. We have no negative words on our stay there, we will return.
Couldn't recommend Hoobrook Cottage enough. We went as a family of 7 of all different ages and we all had a wonderful time. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived and we were delighted with the lovely Hamper Kate and Ruth provided for us. The cottage is well equipped and had everything we needed and more. The beds were so comfy we all struggled to get out of them in the mornings! We had some lovely walks and we had a gorgeous meal at the Red lion pub. Would love to return to Hoobrook at some point in the future.
Samantha

This cottage is Superb, the hosts are second to none and go the extra mile to ensure your comfort. It was spotless, well equipped and they provided lots of information about the accommodation and local days out. We would not hesitate to return. The village is peaceful, the setting idyllic and within easy reach of Matlock, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton. Beautiful walks on the doorstep. Utility room accommodated our dog crate easily. All in all a welcome and enjoyable break. Thank You.
Wow Hoobrook is amazing. We had a wonderful break at Hoobrook Cottage. The cottage is everything you need for a perfect break. Location is excellent. Our welcome hamper was the best we have ever had in a self catering cottage!! We cannot wait to return
We had the most amazing weekend for my moms 50th birthday. Upon arrival there was a beautiful hamper filled with goodies and a birthday balloon, which was a thoughtful lovely touch. We walked up to the Black Lion pub for a couple of drinks on our first day, so that we could make the most of the hot tub for the rest of the afternoon. Whilst sat in the hot tub it was amazing to see so many birds and even some cows. We had a ride to Buxton the next day and the scenery around the area was truly beautiful. Overall, Hoobrook Cottage was clean, the facilities were brilliant. We had a small issue with the shower not draining on the first day, however, this was not an issue at all as the owners were so attentive and helpful. I cant find a fault. Thank you so much for having us.
Wonderful property, prepared beautifully for our stay. Excellent communications from our hosts made arriving straightforward. Our first time holidaying in the area and would not hesitate to return to Hoobrook Cottage.
Stephen

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It was very clean and they thought of everything thatcher would possibly need. We would definitely recommend it to anybody.
We arrived on a cold day in March with our 2 dogs. The cottage was clean and inviting and once we lit the fire it soon warmed up. The welcome hamper was a wonderful site and suprise and it was lovely that our dogs were included in the treats. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The communication between ourselves and the owners was a big help, thank you.

Absolutely fantastic stay. A beautiful, well equipped cottage in a stunning location. Excellent communication with the hosts who configured the rooms how we requested for our party of 6. The covered hot tub was spacious for 6 ladies, secluded and stayed warm. The local pub was very friendly and an easy walk from the cottage. A great get away, lovely walks and evenings by the fire.

I loved this cottage. It was just perfect for us. It was exceptionally clean and very well fitted out. The beds were really comfortable, bath facilities were excellent. The sofas were very comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked. Wonderful hamper on arrival. Beautiful countryside and so quiet. Ruth is wonderfully helpful, nothing is too much trouble. It was a delight to stay there. Hot tub while snowing, that was an experience. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning.

Excellent property, and response from the owners when needed.
Had a super stay at Hoobrook Cottage ! From the generous welcome hamper to providing housecoats and everything that you need in the home. My daughters loved the hot tub ... Lovely part of the world to visit..Thanks again to the sisters for giving us a fab break.
What a wonderful cottage in a wonderful place, has everything you need for a great weekend, good walking, local pub great, and the cottage with the log burning fire, hot tub and small creature comforts was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this, we went 6 adults and 2 dogs and had an amazing time
Yvonne
Second visit. Wonderful cottage, spotlessly clean, well furnished. Owners have thought of everything. Hot tub is amazing, so relaxing to sit and watch the birds come to the bird table right next to the hot tub owners leave bird food, binoculars and a book on birds, even had a cow wander down to brink from the brook every day. Such a quiet location but easy to get to off the main road. Black Lion pub within walking distance but menu not to our liking. Drove into Hartington every day as two lovely places for breakfast. Nothing to fault about Cottage at all. Highly recommend.
Bradley
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. We will be booking again for sure!
