Lovely accommodation set in a serene location. The hot tub was fantastic, nice temperature and very private. Very friendly staff who gave a very warm welcome. The internet is very poor. So please bear that in mind if you need to do any work at all. Even using the phone hotspot didn't help much. The T.V has freeview and the internet is free if you can get it. But the hot tub and netflix incur extra costs. However the hot tub is well worth it.

Lovely big historic house so roof beams and the big log fire were great in our 3 bedroom holiday rental. Owner Tim was very helpful and friendly. Comfy beds, hot shower, plenty of space in our rental made it a very cosy trip and as the WiFi is intermittent maybe enjoy a tech free break.

Absolutely stunning. Considering the age of this property it is extremely well looked after and cared for by the current owners Tim and Rosie, who live on site in the adjoining property. Tim was on hand to greet us on arrival and talk us through the facilities, parking, hot tub use etc. Very welcoming and friendly, and were available if needed but not at all intrusive. The property itself was spotless and has everything you need a real home from home. It was both cosy and spacious, the bedrooms were light and airy and all the beds were very comfortable. The property is set in beautiful gardens with secure gated off road parking in a lovely quiet location. It was the ideal setting for us visiting family nearby. Will definitely be booking another stay. Thank you Tim and Rosie for being such great hosts, we had a wonderful holiday.

Had a wonderfully relaxing, comfy week away, just what our family needed right now. The kitchens got everything that is needed to make a full meal or a simple beans on toast. The only thing we missed was a tumble dryer, but there is an airer and a washing line. The bedrooms lovely, bedding clean and beds comfy. There is a toilet upstarts, but it would be good if there was a shower too. The livings rooms got two comfy sofas and everything you need for an entertaining night in. Didn't use the fire, but can imagine it giving out a lot of heat, radiators through out the cottage. Hot Tub is undercover, so great in bad weather. Grounds are beautiful and well looked after by the owners, who are very helpful when needed, we had an issue with the WiFi and he came around to sort it out. Loved hearing their dogs snuffling under the door and on the rare occasions we saw them outside, lining up at the gate to watch us. We are looking into coming again next year and we can't wait. Thank you both for a lovely week.

We had a great two week stay in August. Property was as described and the hosts were lovely. The property was a good size for 4 adults, 2 children and 2dogs. The hot tub as an additional extra was a bonus.

Very good value for money and an interesting property in a nice location. Unfortunately the beds were too small for a good night's sleep. The rest of the facilities were excellent. If I were 5' 10 or shorter I would say 5 stars.

The property is in a good location, it has its own part of the garden sectioned off, great if you take dogs. The cottage had everything you would need, it was clean and very comfortable.

Cosy, warm and well equipped. We had everything we needed for our stay. The cottage was tastefully decorated and had plenty of charm. The garden was secure for the dogs which is a bonus. Tim was a wonderful host, very friendly and approachable. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you for making us feel at home.

The cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived. The appliances were easy to use. The owner met us when we arrived. And explained all the details. He even took mine and my sister in laws luggage upstairs. The garden was ideal for the dogs, enclosed and there were lovely walks close by. Thanks for a lovely relaxing holiday.

It is a gorgeous place, beautiful and peaceful location, extremely cosy and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful. We also loved the secure gated garden for our dogs. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and luxurious, as is the kitchen and the sitting room very cosy with a lovely open fire. Our friends very much enjoyed the hot tub, too. An upstairs bathroom and slightly firmer mattresses in the twin room would make it perfect.

Tim and Rosie were on hand for any questions, they were both so welcoming and friendly. The property was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. We all had a wonderful time and were overwhelmed with the property, it is beautiful and so comfortable and cosy, we will be back again! Lovely cottage in a very nice part of the county. Long walk to local pubs but an easy drive. Hot tub was great. Definitely recommend.

Had a lovely stay. The owners, who live next door, were helpful and welcoming. A super country location whilst being surprisingly close to all amenities. My 7 year old wants to live here.

There are several things that we think could be improved, not only with the property but also the lack of care from the owners. We were here when the temperature was below freezing all week. The path to the front door was old, well worn and shiny brick. It was covered in ice all week and not once was saltgrit put onto it. The bathroom is large and there was only one working radiator to warm it, which it only just did. The towel rail didn't work at all. The kitchen had dust and cobwebs in a few areas. We appreciate that the property is grade 2 listed but some of the windows are in need of replacing as they did let a lot of draughts through. When you pay a 100 supplement to use the hot tub it is not very fair for the owner to complain that the water temperature had been increased or for a restriction to be put on certain functions of the tub. If the owners are concerned about their electricity bills perhaps they shouldn't be allowing usage during winter months. Clearer instruction should also be given regarding recycling waste bins, e.g. when they should be put out rather than the owner walking through to the kitchen just before patrons are about to eat and female guests are in nightwear. A welcome pack should also be considered for guests, including milk and small loaf of bread perhaps, to make people feel welcomed. Maybe even some locally produced goods such as cakes, scones, jams etc could be left to promote the area. There are a number of cables and wires that should be tidied up and made safe behind the TV as they are currently a trip hazard. The hot tap in the upstairs toilet needs fixing as it does not turn on. And the toilet seat was loose. The cottage itself is nice enough, but more care and attention needs to be taken regarding all of the above. Unfortunately, we couldn't and wouldn't recommend the property.

Booked the farmhouse for the week so we could celebrate our eldest 40th birthday Big thank you to Rosie and Tim for supplying the banners! Hired the hot tub which was fab and came with the intention of chilling out and relaxing, which is just what we needed. The farmhouse is a credit to you Tim and I know the effort you went to, so as to complete it to such a high standard along with all the little extras that I'm sure Rosie created along the way! We had a lovely time and would highly recommend your farmhouse to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing stay. Although storm Pia was exiting!

The hosts were so helpful and friendly. The cottage was quaint and lovely to stay in. We had a fantastic week and did lots of walking with the dogs. Its an ideal location for so many places and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Lovely cottage in a lovely area, great garden for the dogs plus plenty places for good walks. Rosie and Tim are great couple made to feel very welcome and would do anything to help we really couldnt fault the place great time had by all and dogs loved it.

Very nice cottage, very clean and welcoming, good enclosed garden for the dog, secure off road parking which is always a plus, everything you need in the kitchen and lounge, friendly and helpful hosts in Tim and Rosie. The only negative comment is in relation to the beds. The bed frames are quite flimsy and creak when you move. The mattresses on the 2 double beds are very soft and saggy ... they definitely need replacing. Just a small suggestion ... a small 'welcome basket or box' of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits for both humans and dogs with a small drop of milk in the fridge would be a nice touch on arrival to refresh after a long journey. I have always found this a nice gesture in other cottages we have stayed at. To be fair, there were canisters on the kitchen windowsill which may have had items in them, but as we brought our own, I didn't check. Despite the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stayed and would certainly recommend this cottage to dog owners.

Had a lovely sunny week at cottage. Cottage well sited for potteries and steam trains. Slept 6 adults and 3 dogs comfortably. Tim and Rosie were lovely hosts and very helpful. Stairs were a bit of a challenge for able bodied 83 year old and 6'4 son in law but we managed! Nearest rapid EV chargers at Windmill pub and Lidl Longton.

Lovely, cosy cottage with super kitchen diner and everything necessary for a home away from home. The hosts were on site but not at all intrusive. The cottage was charming if a little quirky we loved it.

Fantastic break, the perfect hosts as they were there when we needed them, but didnt interfere with the stay at all. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a weekend away with friends or family.

Lovely welcome from the owner on our arrival. A quick run through of things to know and we were left to enjoy our holiday knowing that they were available if we had any questions. Hot tub was lovely, nice and clear and a great temperature. Lovely property and would recommend. Its worth mentioning that the stairs are steep but this was a minor detail for us. Kitchen was well furnished and well layed out. The internet was a little slow but I guess thats par for the course for the area. The field next door for the dogs was a great plus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
