A truly unforgettable stay at Parlour Barn. We were lucky enough to spend three nights at Parlour Barn during the sunniest weekend in March for a special birthday celebration, and it genuinely exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the place was immaculate spotless throughout, beautifully maintained, and clearly cared for to a very high standard. The lovely welcome pack complete with the birthday balloons Jenny had kindly arranged in advance was such a thoughtful touch. The cottage itself is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with absolutely everything you could ever need. The dcor is fun and stylish it feels like stepping into a luxury hotel, but with all the warmth and privacy of a home from home. Hollydale Barns is made up of just three holiday cottages, positioned very thoughtfully so our stay felt wonderfully private and exclusive. The setting is stunning, surrounded by rolling fields, and it felt very safe for the children to explore. There are lots of animals onsite and the kids were in their element from spending time with the Highland cows and chickens to meeting the alpacas and even the wallabies. Feeding the alpacas was a real highlight, and seeing the wallabies with their little joeys was magical. The enclosed garden was perfect for pottering and relaxing, and the shed full of games kept everyone entertained. We also loved making the most of the hot tub and sauna. The games shack is a real show stopper a huge, brilliantly equipped space with everything from air hockey and table tennis to karaoke and PacMan. Both the kids and adults had an absolute blast. Jenny and Scott were wonderful hosts warm, helpful, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. Thank you both for helping us create such special family memories. Parlour Barn is a gem, and we cant wait to return!

This accommodation is absolutely stunning couldnt fault it at all its got so much to offer plus so many homely touches the more you look round the more you see . Great place to just sit and relax plus the hot tub and sauna are an added bonus for your stay The owners are very friendly cant do enough for you when you arrive and have thought of everything in this property to make it at such a high standard that it is . Theres lots for children to do with the games room the little park and of course seeing the animals which Oscar is a character. We loved our stay and will definatly be visiting again so get booking this diamond of a place youll really be missing out a defianate 1010 X

Had an excellent week at Parlour Barn. Owners were great and a couple of minor issues were sorted immediately. Games room is a real attribute and kept the kids entertained as the weather was poor. Cottage very comfortable and relaxing, well appointed. Definitely recommend

Parlour Barn accommodation was wonderful and lived up to expectations. We spent time in the games room, which had an entertaining variety of activities and the sauna and hot tub were both well used throughout our stay.

Our second time staying in Parlour Barn and it was just as fantastic as the first time. Homely but quality with fantastic facilities. The only negative was some of the wallpaper was peeling in the lounge and there were no hair straighteners as described. Expensive but totally worth it.

A beautiful property in a idillic location. Every need met, everything covered. Facilities first class with something for all the family. The games room is on another level to anything I have experienced before. This property is an absolute must and I will most definitely be back. An incredible 5 days stay

Wow what a find! We only booked this two months ago, and were already getting ready to book again next year! We love the interior and the facilities with the hot tub and sauna, also so many different outdoor seating options They literally have thought of everything for you, separate towels for the hot tubs so youre not using your ones for when you shower, robes, luxury toiletries a games room with everything you can think of from pool and karaoke to air hockey and PacMan! Stunning views, beautifully clean, incredible facilities, we dont want to leave! We look forward to returning next year, and maybe trying the farmhouse this time! You can tell a lot of money was pumped into these cottages, they have done a great job! Parlour Barn is a must visit, in fact they all are!

Excellent property loved our stay

Parlour Barn is absolutely beautiful. Super clean with incredible facilities. The games room, sauna and hot tub were thoroughly enjoyed. Waking up to see highland cows, horses and sheep was just wonderful, our autistic son loved this. We never go back to the same place twice, but Parlour Barn may have changed our minds.

We have just arrived home after an amazing long weekend at parlour barn. We had 6 adults, a baby and a dog. This property was perfect for us with a fabulous layout and lovely little touches like a dog bed a d treats for our doodle who settled so well. A large enclosed garden was perfect for him. We made full use of this property during our stay. Using the great BBQ, the hot tub with amazing sunset views, the sauna and the heated outdoor seated area. And the games room was spectacular. Western themed and so much to do. A wonderful property in a fabulous location with amazing views. Just perfect. Will definitely return

The barn was lovely and clean, well equipped and owners were very responsive to any requests that we had during our stay. The highlight of our stay has got to be the beautiful scenery with the livestock right on our doorstep, being able to sit in the patio area in an hot tub amongst highland cows was something quite special to us. We also booked the Highland cow experience and myself and my daughter met 2 of the Highland cows Pablo & Maisie who were wonderful! We groomed them, cuddled them and got to know them. The owners Scott & Jenny were lovely and had lots of knowledge on the cows and the animals on the farm in general. My kids and husband really enjoyed the games room, there was something for everyone in there and we had lots of fun as a family playing the games and singing on the karaoke. All in all, the experience was brilliant and we would come back in a heartbeat. It was safe , secure and catered for everyone from adults to children.

Fantastic property in a lovely setting 5 We just had another great weeks stay at Parlour barn for the third year in a row. The property is maintained to a brilliant standard inside and out and is spotlessly clean. Always a nice hamper waiting for us on arrival with a bottle of bubbly and local produce. The areas surrounding the barn are currently being updated by the owners with the addition of highland cows and blacknose sheep which is great and the kids love it. The outside space is fully secure so you can let the dogs out knowing theyre safe and sound and cant get out anywhere. They even supply treats and towels for muddy paws. We honestly cant say enough good things about this place, its a credit to the owners and we will hopefully be back again next year.

Outstanding location, great facilities, spotlessly clean, owners were on hand if needed anything which didn't and were extremely helpful yet always gave privacy. We stay in lots of cottages and lodges in the uk and this is up there with the best we've stayed in. Was only 2 of us plus our dog so plenty of space for us. Hope to return one day soon

I stayed here for 3 nights with my partner, brother and his girlfriend and 2 friends and the house was perfect. It was extremely clean, provided a huge variety of entertainment both for indoors and outdoors, the bbq, hot tub, outdoor seating hut and the grass area was all put to good use during our time and could not fault any of it! The view is incredible and the only let down was that we did find check in a bit late and check out slightly early with no ability to possibly amend these. That being said we did get out and explore the areas surrounding such as the Dovedale stepping stones, the lazy trout pub which did amazing food and also catered for GF, the black lion pub in Cheddleton and the local town of Leek all very much recommended. The house itself was spacious and very well equipped and even with our toy cavapoo was just perfect for the entire trip. Lastly the games room is INCREDIBLE and offers so much to choose from and would suit all ages! Thank you so much for having us xx

Fantastic place, they thought of everything. My daughter is using as inspiration to revise for her gcse's ! If she does great she can afford places like this to rent or to buy! Truly a loving relaxing break. Sausage dogs where in their element.

We had a really nice week at Parlour Barn. The facilities were as described and we used the sauna, hot tub and games room frequently during our stay. The kids loved the games room, and we had a great games night in there where we took drinks and snacks down to enjoy. The robes and towels provided were really useful so we didnt have to pack lots of bulky items.

Thank you for a great week away, the property has all the facilities we could have asked for and more! The property was clean and comfortable. Everything was excellent quality and really felt like a luxury home from home. We had great fun in the games room which had something for everyone and certainly kept our kids entertained. The outdoor area was lovely and private and such a good space to relax. The lighting provided a lovely atmosphere and the views from the hot tub were stunnning. The welcome basket was much appreciated and the information in the folder was very useful. The negatives of our stay were that the internet was not very stable and we were unable to use the tv for streaming services, the noise from people walking around upstairs was extremely loud downstairs so disturbed our sleep and the locks on the bathroom doors are bolts and not built into the door which is dangerous, especially with children or guests with disabilities.

An amazing place to stay We went as a family to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday and what a treat it was! Everything you need for a relaxing stay hot tub, games room, lovely walks and stunning accommodation. We will certainly be recommending Parlour Barn to family and friends and we will definitely be returning. Lots of lovely photos in the snow and a weekend to remember. Thank you so much!

This property, the facilities and the ambiance are perfect! It was a luxurious treat to stay here. Loved every second of our stay. One suggestion would be that I would have found it really helpful to have the owner contact details at the point of booking so that I could check availability of the dog boarding option. Sykes wouldnt give this to me until full payment was taken, which left it too close to the date of arrival. We used another local option which was great, but Id have absolutely booked in with the owners had I had the ability to do so at the point of booking.

Wow! Absolutely stunning accommodation, everything you could ever need! ! A cupboard full of games which we used a lot and an amazing games barn with pool table, table tennis etc which was used extensively. Would definitely recommend this place, lots of open spaces for dog walking and an enclosed garden with sauna and hot tub. Would definitely return......

Another wonderful stay at Parlour Barn. Centrally located so we can all meet up as a family. Truly delightful and well fenced garden for our dogs. The sauna and hot tub most welcome after a good days walking. Visited the pottery factory shops on this occasion and got some good bargains at the Emma Bridgewater shop. There are a great selection of board games inside and outside in the wooden shed for when the weather is dry.

Best by far cottage we have stayed in. Out side facilities was perfect for all weather conditions. Games room, was fun, tried new games & renewed our skills on old ones. All equipment you needed in cottage was available for us & our dogs, nothing lacking.

We had a fantastic holiday and relax with the family at the Barn, the whole site is really well equipped and maintained. We specifically really enjoyed the games room and enclose garden which our dogs loved. We would highly recommend.

We stayed at the adjoining barn pastures barnlast year so thought wed try parlour this year and we werent disappointed. Both barns we stayed in were immaculately presented and are kitted out with everything you could need. Lovely discreet location but yet within a 5minutes drive you have all you need. Hoping to visit again next year.

This was our 3rd stay at Parlour barn and a special one at that being Christmas week. Amazing as always, top notch facilities and owners. After a very busy year its just what we needed, now home ready to face 2024 thanks to a relaxing and perfect stay.

Parlour Barn is an exceptional barn conversion that is perfect in every way . Fantastic amenities both within and outside the property, all high quality and well maintained . The sauna , hot tub & games room were used by our family and provided space to spread out on rainy days . We highly recommend this property and wouldnt hesitate to make the 4 hour trip to get there .If your thinking of booking this property, stop thinking and just book it you wont be disappointed .

Totally awesome property. Superbly equipped with everything we could possibly need. Great touches like the robes, spa towels and doggy towels. Love the tasteful decor and homely feel. Games room made the trip and allowed us to keep two 16 year olds entertained and off their phones!! Loved the whole experience and hope to return.
