We had a fantastic stay at this property with our group of 8 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs. The house was incredibly well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, making it easy to cater for such a large group. The location was peaceful and quiet, yet still within easy walking distance to the village with shops and pubs, which was a real bonus. The large enclosed grounds were perfect for our dogs, giving them plenty of space to run around safely while the children also enjoyed the outdoor space. The hot tub was a real highlight and a great way to relaxin the evenings. Throughout our stay, the owners were responsive and helpful, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. Overall, it's a wonderful property for families or larger groups, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We'd happily stay here again!

We had the most amazing weekend at the property with a group of friends the house is stunning and has everything you need. The hot tub was a huge plus, and the owner communicated really well with us before hand even getting the hot tub started before we arrived. I would 100 recommend this property to families, friends and a week long holiday. Thank you for an amazing weekend.

We enjoyed a lovely family break at Gapstile. The cottage is in a beautiful setting and presented to a high standard. The accommodation is spacious and suited our party of ten and three dogs perfectly. We loved the log burner in the lounge which made for cosy evenings and the hot tub was a hit with younger members of the family. The fact that the cottage is in large, enclosed grounds was a bonus for the children and dogs. Georgie was lovely and responded promptly to all my requests and queries. Excellent pubs and walks in the area a further asset. Fully recommend.
Stephen
We found the accommodation very comfortable for our party of 6 adults and 5 children ranging in age from 4 to early teens. It was well equipped and had everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. There are a good selection of pubs within easy walking distance at which you can eat. Abbots Bromley is a great location with plenty of places of interest to visit within easy reach. I would highly recommend Gapstile.
We had a very nice stay spacious house, kitchen, lounge and bedrooms. Lovely views from the garden. Convenient to walk to Abbots Bromley. Nice reservoir and walks nearby. Great to have a woodfired hot tub seats 46, takes a while to heat up. There were a lot of ladybirds in all the windows which we needed to hoover, but we may have been unlucky with the timing. If you don't like cats, to note there is a very friendly cat that likes to try and enter the house.
Deborah
Charming Farmhouse set in the beautiful green rolling hills of Abbots Bromley. We were so happy to have found this beautiful home for Christmas with our extended family 6 adults and 3 children and a black Labrador. What a lovely surprise when we opened the front door only to be welcomed by a gorgeous, large Christmas tree. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated all of us comfortably. The hot tub was a great hit with young and old. Many happy hours were spent at the enormous rustic dining table while some of the group cooked in the well resourced kitchen. Gapstile is situated within walking distance to many great pubs and High Ash Country Store which includes a Butcher, Cheese Shop, Wine Shop and a Coffee Shop, all offering excellent products. The Children so enjoyed the playground just set off the main road in the town. The owners were particularly responsive to any requests we had. We would love to return as it was one of our best holidays as a family. Highly recommended!
Lovely spacious accommodation for a group with beautiful views and a very quiet location. Be aware of steps in some of the downstairs rooms and an open ensuite bathroom upstairs. The lounge and dining kitchen are fabulous spaces for a group of 10. If going in Winter allow plenty of time for the place to warm up. We didn't experience the hot tub. Just needs a little more attention to detail as its new to the rental market. There is also a very friendly cat who lives nearby and will visit you.
We had a fantastic short stay at Gapstile and hope to return. We were a large group of 9 2 families, the house had loads of room for the kids to run around and play and a good setup of bedrooms and bathrooms for us all. The wood fired hot tub was a big hit with everyone we found lighting it in the morning then going out for the day it was hot by the time we got home and remained hot until the next day! Logs and kindling were available in local country stores for the hot tub and wood burner. A beautiful location with great access to attractions Black Country Museum, Shugborough House we enjoyed a walk to the village caf for milkshake and cake then back to the park for a play. It would be useful if a hoover or bigger broom could be available to clean the house particularly when using the wood burner and with young children. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Wonderful hosts!
We loved the house which felt like a home from home and was really comfortable and clean. Garden was great for the dogs and the hot tub was brilliant. Great location with plenty of pubs, lovely walks and shop and cafe nearby. Well definitely be back
