A lovely holiday cottage in a peaceful setting! Clean and airy with a really well equipped kitchen. So nice to have a washing machine and dryer - took the stress out of packing! A few toys for younger kids kept mine amused, so much appreciated. Beds were comfy. We made good use of the hot tub - especially great for the drizzly mornings while waiting for the weather to clear (which it did) or as an incentive to get the children to leave a park! We also enjoyed chatting to the sheep and the cats!It is clear it is a well looked after property, which while being near the hosts home, felt completely private. The host was friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive, a couple of text messages checking everything was OK made us feel welcome and that we could ask questions, not that we needed to! There's a range of activities close by and a little further afield, we enjoyed Trentham gardens, Heights of Abraham and Blists Hill to name a few.Would recommend!

Just back home from an excellent stay at beautiful Sheep Meadow. The location is so relaxing and we enjoyed the added bonus of petting sheep and our daily visits from friendly cats.The cottage is very well maintained, clean and comfortable. We had visits to Leek, Buxton, Bakewell, Alton Towers, Trentham Estate and Matlock Bath. So much more to explore on another trip. The hosts live nearby, are very helpful if needed and never intrusive. Would definitely recommend Sheep Meadow to all.

Fantastic rural location. Owners next door but in no way intrusive, left you to it unless you wanted any questions answering which they were prompt to do and cheerful and polite if you did happen to see them. I probably wouldn't stay in the warmer weather as the accomodation did get rather warm. But that is my preference only.
