The absolute chicest luxury retreat in the Peak District! We have just returned from a weeklong stay at Stag Cottage, and it was an absolute treat from start to finish! If you want the ultimate relaxing getaway, this is the place to be. The location is perfect, and the decor throughout the cottage is just beautiful. Every single corner feels luxurious, from cooking on the traditional Aga in the kitchen to soaking in the stunning bronze rolltop bath. It is truly the most stylish way to experience life in the Peak District. To make it even better, we met the Fletcher family during our stay. They are wonderful hostsincredibly warm, welcoming, and real. Weve had a truly fabulous week and made some great memories. If you get the chance to book a stay here, do not hesitate. Go for it!
Absolutely beautiful property and great hosts who are always on hand to help if needed.

Amazing we walked into the cottage and it was impeccably clean. Every utensil, pot, pan, dish and appliance you would need was there. Hot tub amazing, washing machine handy. Surroundings and scenery was just so beautiful, we loved watching the animals, chickens coming into the garden. Lovely little pubs for food locally. It was just lovely, hosts so friendly and accommodating! There was nothing I could fault about our stay. We had already booked our next stay before we left. Thanks for having us, we will see you soon.
Stag cottage wow . .. from opening the the door into the porch then into the kitchen we were taken aback with how gorgeous it was, as was the conservatry , living room, snug , utility room downstairs toilet, 3 spacious beautiful bedrooms one with on suite and a bathroom with roll top bath . The cottage boasts absolutely everything you would need for a luxurious stay a proper home from home . You literally need to take a towel for the hot tub , a tea towel that's it . We have stayed in many 5 star hotels and stag cottage Liz has surpassed them in design, decor and comfort really does have the wow factor but still very homely and relaxing . It was immaculately clean and smelled gorgeous throughout. We loved our stay made all the more special meeting Kelvin and Liz who are both lovely genuine people, they made us feel so welcome and nothing was to much to ask cant wait to rebook .
Vivienne
A truly luxurious and relaxing retreat! We stayed at Stag Cottage for a week and were blown away by the beautiful decor, cleanliness, and spacious layout. The host gave us excellent local restaurants and sightseeing tips, which made our trip even more special. We loved visiting the local villages, especially Chatsworth and Bakewell. The facilities are perfect, and I highly recommend this lovely cottage for a 5star stay.

I have just spent 4 days at stag cottage with my family and young grandson and it was absolutely wonderful. The cottage was stunning, it was spotlessly clean and the decor was beautiful with lovely touches in every room. The hosts were great, so easy going and were especially lovely to our grandson with Liz letting him feed the chickens and showing him around the farm which made him feel very special. I would highly recommend this cottage to everyone and I cant wait to stay again. A truly amazing few days thank you

Absolutely superb property in stunning surroundings. Everything was perfect, spotlessly clean and very welcoming! In fact so good, weve booked again for next year! Thank you so much
After reading so many amazing reviews on this property we had high expectations and the cottage did not disappoint. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, finished to a high standard and in my opinion the quality of the bed linen was better than in some 5 star hotels. We had a fantastic 7 night break at Stag Cottage and the only downside was having to leave! In fact we loved it so much we have already booked to return.
Stephen
We had a great time in this wonderful home of Liz and Kelvins, the cottage is absolutely stunning and has everything you would require to have a relaxing stay. Liz, Kelvin and the children were very welcoming and friendly. We were very fortunate to see some of the sheep in labour and the a few of the lambs which were born the day before. We would definitely go back to stay again in this wonderful place.
We came here as a family of 4 for a long weekend and it truly was lovely , the energy felt so fung shui, everything looked and smelt beautiful. I had the full weekend planned but tbh my kids didnt really want to leave so we stayed at the cottage mostly with a couple of outings , finished off with a Sunday lunch at the rose and crown 4 minutes away. It was so warm and cozy watching films and feeding the hens and Daniel the cockerel he made sure we woke up on a morning that is for sure
4 nights of pure luxury all wrapped up in a farmhouse cottage feeling. We had a brilliant time at Stag Cottage me my wife and our 3 kids. The hosts were really welcoming and checked in with us throughout our stay. Local scenery and walks are fantastic. Cannot reccomend enough.

Just spent time at Stag Cottage and we enjoyed every minute of it. It is so spacious but manages to feel cosy at the same time, quality furnishings, immaculately clean and everything you need for a perfect stay, probably the best cottage we have stayed in!
My mum and I have just spent 2 days at this most stunning property. Superbly furnished, spotlessly clean and providing everything we could possibly have needed for our stay. I cannot recommend highly enough it is so special. Lovely quiet spot, yet easy to get to so many places. Hope very much to return in the future.
This property is absolutely amazing, it's exactly as the photo's show it It was immaculate and everything was top quality We were a group of older ladies celebrating a few milestone birthdays and we couldn't have asked for anything better. We are all fans of Kelvin & Liz and we were delighted to have met them both, they were really lovely, we all had pj's with photos of Kelvin on and they both found them really amusing, Kelvin even asked for a photo of us all with him We would highly recommend this cottage and would love to return soon
Words can't describe just how good this is. Everything is perfect from the accommodation to the location. Felt completely at home there and the cottage has everything you need. A thoroughly enjoyable four day stay.
This was everything we expected it to be a lovely property lovingly restored into a fantastic holiday cottage in a peaceful location but on a working farm. Liz our host was very helpful and even found time to have a quick chat with my wife about dogs. I would be more than happy to come and spend another weekend at the property and the family can be and should be very proud.
We recently returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at Stag Cottage. My mum, two sisters and I chose this cottage because it looked beautiful and relaxing for our annual weekend away, and it exceeded our expectations. The cottage is really spacious but felt extremely cosy and homely. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, with fantastic attention to detail. The setting is just perfect, so peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside, but close enough to places of interest and towns to visit and explore. The hosts were lovely and communication was excellent. We felt so at home at Stag Cottage and didn't want to leave. We left feeling relaxed and wellrested and can't wait to return. We recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break in a stunning cottage and location.

One year on from our first stay at Stag Cottage and it was still as perfect as our first visit. The cottage itself is spacious, clean to an exceptional high standard and simply beautiful. The surroundings are picturesque and pure bliss nestled on a working farm. Theres something really calming about opening your curtains on a morning looking out onto fields of sheep & cows. The hosts are great, very welcoming and friendly and cannot do enough for you making sure you have a memorable stay. You can make your days as busy or as relaxed as youd like here. There are multiple local walks in the area, youre spoilt for choice! We also visited Wincle brewery and a local pub along the road, The Ryles Arms, for food one evening and it was lovely.
